Company Overview
Spectrum has been serving the Western New York community for over 40 years. Our staff of highly trained and experienced professionals are here to help individuals and families through some of the challenges associated with mental health and substance abuse issues. Spectrum offers a larger variety of quality behavioral healthcare services than any other provider in Erie or Wyoming County.
We take great pride in our easy-to-access services, available at our centralized community-based locations across Western New York. Additionally, Spectrum offers integrated treatments at satellite locations within medical campuses across Erie and Wyoming Counties. With a large qualified team, Spectrum is available to meet clients needs immediately with our same-day and walk-in clinics.
Company History
Spectrum provides a wide range of services including treatment and rehabilitation of psychiatric disabilities, psychological problems, and substance-related disorders. Mental-health programs for adults, adolescents, children and families who are experiencing a significant disturbance in functioning, emotional state, or pattern of behavior are readily available in many different communities. In addition, chemical dependency programs for adults and adolescents whose chemical use is having a negative impact upon their health, relationships, or functioning and for individuals who are concerned about a family member or friend’s use of alcohol or drugs are also available.
Confidentiality is very important to Spectrum. Spectrum values the trust and confidence the community has placed in it. Information regarding a client’s treatment is kept confidential in accordance with prevailing law and policy and the company’s own Code of Ethics.
Last year alone, over 6,700 people in Western New York turned to Spectrum for services, which enabled them to build resiliency skills and increase their ability to successfully cope with life’s challenges. As these children and adults courageously develop strategies for recovery, their need for public support, medical care, special education and legal aid is decreased, resulting in personal satisfaction, stronger families, and a more hopeful, empowered community.
Spectrum is funded by the Erie County Department of Mental Health (ECDMH), Wyoming County Mental Health Department, New York State Office of Mental Health (NYSOMH), and the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (NYSOASAS), and is recognized by all as one of the outstanding Human Service agencies in Western New York. Spectrum provides the highest quality services possible to a diversified clientele. Each year, clients express their satisfaction and gratitude for the new skills, understanding and sense of empowerment they have gained, enabling them to manage their lives more effectively.
