Company Overview
Greenwich House is a non-profit community organization founded in the settlement house tradition. We provide a distinct array of cultural, educational, health, social, and recreational services at eight locations in and around Greenwich Village. We opened our doors in Greenwich Village in 1902 with the belief that the problems of a neighborhood are the problems of a settlement house. Greenwich House remains a vital resource for the community because we have continued to respond to our neighbors’ needs and the emerging health and social issues throughout the city.
Our mission today as yesterday is to improve the quality of life of the individuals, families and groups in our community. Greenwich House delivers vital services to over 12,000 New Yorkers each year. The diversity of our efforts is also evidenced in the spectrum of activities and space we provide. Greenwich House is a community center and in many important ways, the center of the community. EOE
