The Second Wind Behavioral Health Services is a community-based organization dedicated to helping individuals overcome substance use challenges and rebuild meaningful lives. We provide recovery-oriented, person-centered care focused on empowerment, respect, and individualized support.

 
Key Responsibilities
As a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate, you will:

• Provide one-on-one peer support to individuals in recovery from substance use disorders
• Use your lived recovery experience to encourage, motivate, and inspire others
• Assist clients in setting personal recovery goals and connecting with community resources
• Support engagement in treatment programs and recovery services
• Advocate for client needs in a respectful, recovery-focused manner
• Collaborate with clinical staff, case managers, and multidisciplinary teams
• Promote wellness, self-advocacy, and recovery-oriented thinking
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services

Qualifications

• Active CRPA or CRPA-P certification (New York State required)
• Lived experience in recovery and a strong passion for helping others
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build trust and rapport with diverse populations
• Comfortable working independently and within a team environment
• Strong organizational and documentation skills (preferred)
